South Korea’s LG Life Science said Tuesday it agreed to produce the generic version of Pfizer’s anticoagulant Cilostazol and prokinetic agent Itopride, entering the local generic drug market. Pfizer will be responsible for sales.
Those drugs will be the beginning of its production of various generic drugs in Korea, LG Life Science said.
The company also plans to advance into overseas markets, by exporting its generic asthma drug (montelukast) and anticoagulant (clopidogrel) to emerging markets including the Middle East, India and Thailand.
